BULL HILL / RED HOUSE GARDENS

AIM

Redevelop the land within the existing one-way system known as Red House Gardens or Bull Hill to deliver a residential led development with community space, new parking together with green spaces, improved public realm and pedestrian routes.

PROGRESS

Preloader

The current Bull Hill make up is of office space, two public car parks and open space.

The original Master plan proposed a ‘retail core extension’.

Following the Swan Centre and transport studies, and in response to the evolution of High Streets, it is proposed to now move to a different mix of uses.

POTENTIAL NEW USES

  • Residential (flats)
  • New community space
  • Open and green spaces
  • Offices
  • Multi-storey car park to re-provision the existing public car parking and service the new developments
  • Improve pedestrian and cycling links between the station and town centre

NEXT STEPS

We are now procuring a Joint Venture partner to redevelop the area alongside the Swan Centre.

The new proposals for Bull Hill as a strategic site are included within Mole Valley District Council’s draft Local Plan out for consultation from 3 February to 23 March 2020.

Two exhibits with further information on the new proposals will be held in Leatherhead to provide further information to those responding to the draft Local Plan consultation.
